Project metaMap
The metaMap was divised as part of {沼} project, for exhibition in Michael Gearl's <stimulus/response> exhibition at the Projectraum Sonsegaal in Viena. The collaboration sumed much of the work we had been doing in the cultura3 lab and introduced a new tangible layer to our inquiries.
Michael's idea was that a tangible common or shared place could be formed through the formation a group across different countries for the project. The participants should gather cartographic and human / geographic data from their own locations, whilst conducting the activity creatively, under a unifying structure, creating a pool of "shared" information about one another and our environments. This shared information was then used for the production of other works.
